Couples choose a romantic Bahamian honeymoon or holiday because of its lovely scenery, year-round sunshine, and easy access from Florida. It’s an island paradise with crystal clear water that is the temperature of a warm bathtub, friendly locals, and unique attractions.
A flight from Miami to Nassau takes just over an hour, and it’s the preferred destination of many who visit The Bahamas. For a super-relaxing holiday, many people like to stay at all-inclusive resorts in The Bahamas. But despite the popularity of Nassau, there are only a handful of all-inclusive resorts on the island, and even fewer if you want adult-only accommodation.
Thankfully, we’ve compiled them all here on our list of the 5 best Nassau adult-only all-inclusive resorts. Keep reading to find the one that’s right for your getaway, then check out our suggestions for the best things to do in Nassau.
Hotel Riu Palace Paradise Island
Hotel Riu Palace Paradise Island is a Nassau adult-only all-inclusive resort located on Paradise Island, which is just a short distance away from town. You can drive across the land bridge or cross on foot between the two islands, and a ferry service is also available.
RIU Hotels are scattered around the world and have a significant presence in the Caribbean. Some locations, including Hotel Riu Palace Paradise Island, are adult-only and have a reputation as fun, upscale resorts for young couples, groups of friends, and singles, although groups of spring breakers are strictly not allowed.
Rooms are lavish with 4-poster beds and accents in deep shades of royal purple. They also offer an airport shuttle service, 24-hour reception, a welcome glass of sparkling wine, and top-tier international liquor as part of their all-inclusive rate.
Guests will find several delicious dining options, a sauna and a gym, a large swimming pool surrounded by beach loungers, and a golf course nearby. Romantic treatments that couples will enjoy are available at the lovely spa, and a candlelit dinner to celebrate a special night can be arranged for an additional charge.
Sandals Royal Bahamian
Sandals Royal Bahamian is the best Nassau adult-only all-inclusive resort in our opinion, with luxuries such as its own private island, 7 swimming pools, and suites and villas that include butler service and swim-up access, private plunge pools, or outdoor Jacuzzi tubs.
There are 10 restaurants at Sandals Royal Bahamian that serve gourmet dishes to suit every palate. The rate covers everything, including Robert Mondavi Twin Oaks wines, premium liquors, and one of the world’s finest coffee blends, Jamaican Blue Mountain. Complimentary activities include use of non-motorized watersports equipment and land sports courts, games, a fitness facility, and nightly entertainment. You also get free airport transfers, and all tips and taxes are included.
You can also enjoy excursions and tours around Nassau that aren’t included in the rate like deep-sea fishing, and trips to The Bahamas’ famed beach in Exuma where you can swim with pigs. The Red Lane Spa has a variety of treatments for couples as well as relaxing massage services to help you reconnect with yourself
Sandals resorts have a huge presence in the Caribbean and cater specifically to couples. If you’re considering a destination wedding in the Bahamas, be sure to inquire about their wedding packages when you make your reservation. They offer a wide variety, including a free wedding if you stay 7 or more nights in a club or butler room!
Warwick Paradise Island
Warwick Paradise Island is a luxury all-inclusive resort on Paradise Island. Amenities here include a huge swimming pool with views of Nassau Harbour, a private beach, a spa, and 5 restaurants and bars, all included in the rate.
Warwick Paradise Island has stylish, modern rooms with ADA accessibility. They also offer several packages for a Bahamas destination wedding or a romantic honeymoon. Packages include discounts on spa treatments, a private breakfast, free transfers, and a complimentary stay on your anniversary.
In addition to Warwick’s exclusive rate for members of its loyalty program, the resort also offers a discount of up to 15% to AAA members, military members, and vets. Their promotions page has a detailed list of their current offerings and sales.
Breezes Resort and Spa
Breezes Resort and Spa is a small Nassau adult-only all-inclusive resort in the western end overlooking Delaporte Bay. Minimum age requirements vary by season (25 during the high season, 21 during the low season), although teens aged 14 and up can stay provided they check in with an adult who is of age.
Amenities include direct access to Cable Beach, 3 geometrically-shaped pools that look out on the bay plus a plunge pool, sports courts, kayak rental, spa, and gym. Five restaurants and 4 bars (including a nightclub) offer Italian, Asian-fusion, and Caribbean delicacies and unlimited drinks. A private, romantic dinner for two is also available most nights for an additional $75 per person.
The resort itself is nothing fancy. Rooms are dated, with Victorian-style furniture and floral bedding and curtains. The resort’s common areas also retain decades-old furniture, although everything is clean and has been well-maintained. Activities are a bit limited which can get boring, but if you don’t plan on spending a ton of time at the resort, this is a great central location that has everything you need.
Travelers visiting Nassau but staying elsewhere can also purchase guest passes to Breezes and visit the restaurants, beach, pool, or spa.
Atlantis Paradise Island
Finally, Atlantis Paradise Island is 5 resorts within a sprawling mega-resort on Paradise Island that stretches for 3 miles across a white sand beach. The resort is so big that it can even accommodate sailors visiting The Bahamas via boat thanks to their own private marina.
Atlantis Paradise Island consists of The Cove; The Reef; The Royal; The Coral; and Harbour Side, the resort across the marina. The centerpiece is the enormous Aquaventure Water Park, which is free for guests but also open to the public during the day (so it can get pretty crowded during high season and holidays).
While the Atlantis resorts are family-oriented and feature activities and entertainment for kids like waterslides, rides, pools, and marine habitats, there are also plenty of areas for adults to relax without kids splashing nearby. The most adult-friendly area is at The Cove, which has an adult-only 4-level pool. Guests must also be over the age of 18 to enter the on-site casino, although drinks here are not part of the all-inclusive package.
Rates and inclusions depend on the accommodation you go with, so be sure to check that out when you make your reservations.
